Description

This installation was a replacement for an existing pool in an established home. In order to install the pool and spa, a 110 tonne crane with fly was required, along with grouting to stabilise the gazebo area.

This clean and contemporary shaped swimming pool and spillway spa is the centrepiece of this outdoor entertaining area. At 8m long and 4m wide, the geometric fibreglass swimming pool features corner side entry steps and a wide seating ledge that runs the length of the pool.

The spillway spa at the deep end of the pool is ideal for relaxation and hydrotherapy. Occupants can alternate between the warm relaxing waters in the spa to the cooler stimulating waters at the 1.8m deep end of the pool.
Adjacent to the spa is the water feature. This exquisite limestone block construction features natural stone cladding to simulate the feel of a natural rock waterfall. With a 900mm water blade and LED back lighting, it acts as a stunning attraction during the day and the evening.

The pool and spa’s brilliant deep blue finish contrasts with the light header pavers and polished timber decking surrounding the entire perimeter of the pool and spa. The decking continues through to the large undercover gazebo area, which has a complete outdoor kitchen and a formal seated dining area. Set amongst an established lawn, trees and greenery, this outdoor entertaining area has ample seating for family and friends. The brightly coloured wicker chairs, outdoor sofa and ottomans have been used to add colour and an element of excitement to the space.

Unique features such as an outdoor fire pit, located near the spa, add value and warmth to evening entertaining, so even in the cooler months, family and friends can still enjoy this outdoor space. The frameless glass fencing that creates the boundary between the home and outdoor area provides uninterrupted views of the swimming pool and outdoor entertaining area from the main living area of the home. The pool and spa equipment is hidden behind timber fencing and a structure that has been purpose built to remove unsightly pumps or equipment from view.
This pool represents the ultimate in outdoor entertaining, fun and inviting, yet stylish and sophisticated, it has everything one needs for an idyllic pool and outdoor area.
