Approaching this project with 165’ perimeter overflow edge, required to be perfectly level, plumbing set with the proper fall and vents to assure no water noise, while providing plenty of water flow to create the look. The glassy water reflection this design offers, and the unique visual appeal when the water and decking are at the same elevation, enhances the immediate surroundings and valley view below. Doing a perimeter overflow is one thing but one of this size took some extra thought, creativity with client, and expanded engineering. This client wanted to bring a resort feel to their home and we did that by adding two 18’ x 12’ Cabo ledges on both sides of the spa. There is also a conversation area on the opposite side of the pool from the house that allows large groups to socialize. This pool and spa are centered on a 16’ long sliding door in the main living and kitchen area that opens inside to outside, expanding and integrating the living space with the outdoor poolside environment.
