The original pool was a very traditional style which the customer wanted to modernize into a luxurious outdoor living space. The adjacent whirlpool was filled in and replaced with a therapeutic at home spa constructed indoors complete with a new whirlpool and cold plunge pool. The outdoor pool was elevated in the deep end from 8’6” to 6’6”, the pool steps were modified and a new pool bench added. To further add to its appeal a custom blend of onyx colored plaster was used for the finish along with a brick mosaic pattern and alternating soot black and steel grey custom made glass tile at the water line. The tile size and pattern required a large amount of waste to be factored in as tile cuts had to be carefully considered to keep the pattern in placement. This was very detailed and time consuming work.

A brand new water feature was constructed; a series of rectangles including the stepping stones creating a cohesive look from the element of water into the terraced gardens. The brick mosaic pattern on the pool tile band is repeated on the front face of the water feature tiers adding interest to the design elements. A stunning chalice, shipped from England, rests on top of the water feature and reflects not only the magical flow from the water feature itself but the sparkling hue of the adjacent swimming pool. LED white lights showcase this stunning water feature and highlight the rich teal of the pool water that turns a smoky blue at night.

Special attention was paid to the design of the mechanical room as both the indoor and outdoor spaces, though running on separate equipment, were combined in one extremely cozy outbuilding.

For the customers ease a Turbo Clean system was installed and the customer opted for a more environmentally friendly UV sanitizer. A hidden black Hydramatic automatic cover keeps the pool warm effectively cutting down costs, as well as, maintenance for the customer.
