The pool contains 4- 10' long by 3'6" high acrylic panels creating one long side and one end wall of the pool. The pool area is sunken in to a side hill in the back yard of this beautiful contemporary home creating a very private setting. The pool was created with 2 levels of entertainment in mind with an upper pool deck for taking in the sun and boasts an outdoor entertaining pergola with serving bar and counter. The lower level offers great aquarium like views of the pool from a brazilian wood inlayed patio tucked between the pool and the home. Or relax in the 10 man spa at the end of the pool with a viewing window looking thru the length of the pool.
There is a fire theme throughout the house from the fire pit hanging on the main floor deck and brought down to the pool with 4 fire and water bowls and then a fifteen foot linear fire pit in the outdoor seating area near the spa.
The acrylic panels, each book ended with concrete pillars and capped with a fire/water bowl feature set this pool off at night and make for a warm inviting setting.
Making sure the tolerances and details to accept the multiple acrylic panels was a challenge and the use of multi level waterproofing in the pool structure to alleviate any efflorescence and calcification bleed thru was a success as the structure has yet to show any signs of it.
The acrylic pool panels emulate the style of the home with it's folding glass panel wall systems which open up the main level deck and lower level patio of the home and bring the action out to the pool area.
The pool sports glass tile accents and a beautiful exposed aggregate with colored glass plaster finish. Variable speed pumps and high efficiency heaters were used on both the pool and spa.
