Our clients had many items they wanted to incorporate into this project. The topography of their yard was a challenge as it was very sloped and dropped off quickly from the home. Some of their desires were a negative edge, a rain curtain, a large grotto, 2 spas (one in the grotto), a slide and a full kitchen area with fireplace, bar and swim up bar.

The imagination that went into this design was well thought out to meet all of the needs of the client. Taking their ideas into consideration we adjusted our design to make the pool aesthetically pleasing.. The clients were thrilled with the final design which includes a 351 sq ft grotto cave, a full spa, television and sitting area. The project consists of 2 pools, an upper, zero edge play pool and a lower diving pool, 2 spas, an upper 8 person and a 12 person grotto spa, a full kitchen with a fireplace, bar and swim up bar. The slide was tucked back behind the grotto so not to detract from the beauty of the top pool and negative edge. The lower pool is a 10ft diving pool which can be accessed from slide area or grotto cave. A large lounge area allows easy entry into the top pool and lounge chairs grace its path.

Creating the grotto was a challenge as they wanted the cave-like look so we scoped out many options for the client and techniques to make it the way they were thinking. The slide was another challenge as they originally wanted it to be up by the kitchen area so we moved it to the other side and directed it around the grotto into the pool below...they fell in love with that idea once they saw it. Fire features surround the spa on the upper pool and give a warm presence to the kitchen area.
