This beautiful European Edge pool and spa project required a very high level of design input to make the pool visually satisfying from two different rear yard perspectives. The backyard had a multi-level deck which resulted in us designing the pool from the angle of the house and the angle of the lower deck level. From the house, you can see the alluring reflection of the sky on the surface of the pool water thanks to the combination or the nearly invisible European edge detail combined with the dark, black pebble pool finish. The contrast between the bright, light colored deck and the dark pool finish helps enhance the reflection on the flat glass-like surface. For the sitting area on the lower deck elevation, we designed the wall of the spa to act as a water wall with an assorted random pattern of marble jut-outs that play with the flow of water as it falls, creating different textures as sounds to enhance the viewing experience. Overall this sleek, modern pool fits perfectly with the motif of the house and backyard.
