1. What was it about this project that required an unusual level of quality workmanship? Sinking a
really large swim spa into an enclosure requires the engineering thought process of the “vault”,
sump pump, and access area for any equipment maintenance required.

2. Describe the aesthetic appeal of this entire project. Although the client preferred a total flush
elevation, the project required a very minimal elevation change for proper safety and security for
the spa cover system.

3. Why do you think this project forced you to an unusual level of creativity? Proper access, vault
design, and sump pump are all very valuable in maintaining the integrity of the swim spa, and its
warranty with the manufacturer.

4. Describe how this pool design integrates effectively with the home, landscape or both. Clients family
is very involved in sports and other activities that required the use of the major portion of the
backyard. This design and placement of the SPA helped to preserve that area and the initial
requirements of the client.
