Easton Pool & Spa was faced with several challenges that qualify us as the recipients of the APSP Excellence Award in regards to both an unusual level of quality workmanship and creativity. First, our client is an award winning, world renowned architect who assigned a team of architects and engineers to be involved in every minute detail of the pool design and construction. Second, the requirements called for a perimeter overflow pool with an automatic cover that is safety rated and, when the pool is in use, the cover and all hardware could not been detected with he naked eye or heard. This cover and its design, to the best of our knowledge, has never been implemented before. Finally, since the pool was all black and our client did not want any lighting, for safety safety reasons, we designed a minimal lighting solution that would place a fiber optic light pad every 6 inches along each of the stair risers as well as the swim out bench. Because of these highly challenging yet successful design obstacles, we feel this project is a perfect candidate for the APSP Excellence Award. As you will see in the attached photos, the completed project, wit hit modernistic pool house and the clean reflective lines of the pool, make this design a natural selection.
