This was a lake home that was completely remodeled inside and out. The basement originally had a small pool with an auto-cover. After demolition, the new basement space consisted of a kitchen and dining area, as well as an area to unwind in. The newly remodeled basement required a high quality hot tub and surround that is also beautiful and blends with the surroundings.The spa was installed and surrounded by stacked stone on three sides and reclaimed wood on the ceiling. In order to integrate the hot tub steps with the rest of the room we had custom steps made of slate and timber and specially made them slide out so that you have access to the spa equipment. Next to the spa there is a traditional cedar sauna with a glass door and a shower made of stacked stone walls and a smooth pebble floor to match the hot tub surround. The open shower was placed right next to the sauna and hot tub for rinsing off before or after using the hot tub or sauna.
